HKFP Documentary: Sha Lo Wan’s Last Stand

Lantau is “rich in natural and cultural resources, but lack facilities”, Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying says.  Amid the rush to develop Hong Kong’s most pristine island, traditional villages like Sha Lo Wan have ended up on the front lines of new construction projects. HKFP looks at whether the elderly villagers welcome development and asks whether they being properly compensated.
